HUMANITARIAN INNOVATIONS.
The provision of multi-sectoral life-saving emergency assistance, comprising but not limited
to Shelter and Non-Food Items, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, emergency healthcare, and
Protection/GBV prevention, will allow ensuring dignified and safe basic living conditions to all
individuals in South Sudan.
In fact, while YEDA’s main focus will be on the transition from emergency to recovery and
development, many South Sudanese individuals are living in extremely dire conditions, with the
number of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and refugees returning to their areas of origin on
the rise, straining the few resources of the host community. Therefore, humanitarian assistance
is still an important part of our interventions, as a base for more robust long-term interventions.
