About Us
Who We Are
YEDA tirelessly works to address the needs of vulnerable population when disaster strikes, partnering with the UN and other national and international partners to guarantee effective and timely response. YEDA has responded to every major disaster with lifesaving emergency Shelter, Non-Food Items, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene and CashBased Interventions since the South Sudan civil conflict of 2013, often being one of the first responders, and maintaining its presence even after the first intervention to assist the population become self-reliant and build resilience to shocks and crisis.., .

Our solid working experience in South Sudan showed us that urban and rural youth have specific multi-sectoral needs, which cannot be tackled by mere humanitarian assistance. In line with the Sustainable Development Agenda 2030, YEDA is implementing a series of initiatives aiming at empowering the next generation of South Sudanese, through capacity building and concrete support to lead sustainable social change in the country. The first step in this direction is the recent creation of an SDG experimental hub to provide multi-sectoral skills and a training platform for youth at different levels, to promote economic empowerment/career development, peaceful coexistence and sustainable development at community level.
