YEDA - Youth Empowerment and Development Aid (YEDA) is a South Sudanese non-governmental organization founded in 2008 and registered in South Sudan. YEDA is committed to transforming vulnerable communities through humanitarian assistance, sustainable development, and climate resilience. Rooted in the Locally Led Adaptation (LLA) approach, YEDA ensures that all interventions are community-driven, contextually relevant, and sustainable.

Programme Priorities

YEDA works close with government and humanitarian partners to play a critical role in bridging emergency response with long-term development. With a proven track record of over $1.95 million in donor funding between 2021 and 2026, YEDA delivers measurable outcomes across shelter, WASH, food security, and climate resilience programs. Its community-centered model, innovative tools, and deep local presence make it a trusted partner for impactful, scalable interventions in South Sudan.

Main strategic goals

Resilience Planning: Co-develop and implement community-managed environmental resilience plans.

Policy Advocacy: Empower communities to advocate for equitable policies that foster long-term development.

Emergency Preparedness: Strengthen emergency response through proactive preparedness and integrated communication strategies.
